Thank You Lord for another year of new blessings that You have added to my life!!! In this added year, I grow in grace, wisdom, and revelation in my knowledge of You, as God. I grow in courage, boldness, and confidence in who I was born to be. I grow in my knowledge of who You have created me to be and in my knowledge of what You have created me to do. I walk in authenticity of who You are in me and who I am in You. I DO NOT shrink back for anyone or anything, because of fear, but I stand in the TRUTH of who I am and walk in the TRUTH of what I am purposed to do. I wear my crown boldly 👑 and declare that I AM a voice for You that WILL BE HEARD in the earth!

I WAS BORN FOR THIS!!!

Thought for the week

0EA6B3CB-2DF2-4201-AF98-0C255A10EB03

On our empowerment call a few weeks ago, we learned that faith is an action word, not just this “thing” we have. It does not just stand still, listless, and inactive. Faith requires active motion. It requires your “GO”, as Evangelist Victoria Bates taught. Since that empowerment call, I’ve had to exercise great faith and “GO” into areas that I considered unfamiliar and impossible. My faith was powerful because I didn’t stop to second guess the impossibility, but I actively moved with God..I actively followed His “GO”. What a liberating feeling to witness faith having powerful action that moves impossibilities!!! What are you personally believing God for? What steps will you need to take to move towards it? What action will you take to match your faith? How about you put your feet to your faith…Will you “act-ivate” your faith and just GO!

“What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone?” (James 2:14 NLT)

Can You Just Trust Me?

IMG_0003

Why are you worried? When was the last time I left you forsaken? When was the last time I saw you fall and didn’t rush to pick you up? Do you really want to debate your circumstance with ME? You have been saying you want some answers to your questions and that I have been hiding, silent, and not moving quick enough for you. Are you ready to talk?

I do NOT exist for you, but you exist for Me. I am not your servant, rushing to answer every whim you have, like I am some type of bellboy! I am not your child.  Instead, My beloved, you are My child, My reflection, My instrument, designed to be used for MY purpose. I don’t have to answer to you, for I AM the Answer.  I am not limited by your finite circumstance. After all, how can the author be limited by what He has written?

I am the God who intricately created the entire universe, upholds the heavens, knows the name of every star, every constellation, every planet, every animal. I am HE, who defines the borders of the seas, knows where the seas begin and where they end, knows the length of the heavens and the depths of the clouds. I am HE, who holds this entire universe in balance by the strength of MY voice, knows when the past begins, when the present stands, when the future ends, and yet I still make space to commune with you and listen to your heart cry, all at the same time. I am too INFINITE and too GREAT to be limited by circumstances that come to challenge your trusting Me.

I am a promise keeper. Every word I say, I mean. I do not take My words back nor do I forget what I say.  Remember what I promised you! I promised that I would never leave you or forsake you…that I would supply all of your needs, out of the richness of My love for you. I promised that I would make My grace abound towards you…that I would crown you with My blessings, the kind of blessings that makes you rich in My grace, blessings that come with no sorrow. I promised you that I would withhold no good thing from you…that I would perfect everything that concerns you.  I promised you that My goodness and My mercy would follow after you,  all the days of your life.  I promised you! I still promise you!

Can you just trust Me?

Prayer:

Father, I know that You are a promise keeper and I accept every promise that You continually make to me. Help me to take my eyes off of my circumstance and to fix my eyes and heart back on You. I give You every worry, every anxiety, every fear, and I accept Your peace, Your joy, Your love, and Your word. You never fail and I choose to just trust You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

God’s words to our hearts!

IMG_2802

You are one of my most precious gifts to the earth. You have given life to the unseen and have birthed eternal purposes out of nothing!! You nurture, you train, you unconditionally love, you help, you adapt, you mold, you shape, you guide, you direct, you instruct, you mend, you heal, you mentor, you protect, you hold up AND you hold down!! You MOTHER!!! The amazing thing is that this ability to do so is not limited to age, to experience, or to your ability to naturally birth a child, but THIS ability that I have given you is the essence of who you are, the essence of MY Being breathed into your being, the essence of MY image in yours. I honor you for your unrestricted, unlimited capacity to produce and protect My will, My purpose, and My love; this is the capacity that I have given to ALL My daughters. Today I choose to respect and celebrate ALL of you (no daughter is left out). So from My heart to yours….Happy Mother’s Day, all My daughters…you are the PERFECTED reflection of Myself!

The Power of Voice!

IMG_2690

I’m very self conscious about my voice.
I’ve been picked on for many different things, but my voice is always the topic of some foreign conversation.
People fail to realize that I never had a choice.
You probably think it’s stupid to cry over something like that.. but when you’re constantly shut up every time you speak with someone, commenting “you’re voice is so squeaky”…it kind of brings you down.
Making you never ever want to hear the sound of yourself now.

That was me.
I’ve gotten “why do you talk like that?” and “girlllllll, your voice is so crooked”, since as early as I can remember.
And I always thought it was some minor fender bender.
And that soon I would grow out of it and sound like a normal kid, like my classmates.
Maybe my puberty was just progressing at a slower rate?
But Now I’m almost 16 and I still sound like I’m 10!
And ironically I’m using my voice a lot more than back then.
Because I’ve come to the conclusion that my voice is power.
It’s like my hidden superpower.
So I’ll use it even when I have a lot less than an hour
to convince you
to use your voice as your power too.

Your voice is a God given gift and with it you have the power to change an entire atmosphere.
You can lift yourself up or bring yourself down.
And all of that can happen with just a little sound
-of positivity- or negativity.
The power of the voice is so unmeasurable that people don’t even know how much weight their voice holds.
I mean, God created the entire universe just by speaking it into existence!
And Jesus continued to witness despite interference.
So when you speak, speak with confidence and know without a shadow of doubt who your Father is.
It doesn’t take any vocal strength classes or some speaking exercise.
And don’t back down when people hit you with the question “why?”
You are what you say…so speak what you believe.
Let the words of your heart flow out naturally and powerfully with ease.
Am I perfect at this? Ummm no!
I still have to pray for confidence before presenting a 2 minute slideshow.
I still get afraid of what people will say.
But I’m also learning not to beat myself up for something God never made to be a mistake.
I’ve tried to make my voice deeper or not say anything at all,
but God didn’t create me just to let me fall.
It’s only right to share all that He’s done for me, he’s bringing me through.
And if he’s doing it for me
he can surely do it for you!

Don’t be silent during praise and worship,
Use the voice God gave you.
You owe it to Him, without seeking anything in return…
And that’s another lesson that a lot of people need to learn..
But for now, speak life and power and abundant blessings in your school, your home, and your workplace.
Speak against every obstacle you might face.
Let the Word of God minister to you, so it can minister through you.

The Bible says “out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks”!
So I pray that you let the power of your voice help you through every choice but not only speak in the time of need.
Speak up and speak out everything single day, even when things don’t go your way, still rejoice in the Lord always.

Reflection:

Everyone of us has been gifted by God with a specific voice in mind! Some of us have a voice to empower, to teach, to counsel, to preach, to lead, to witness, to evangelize, etc.

1. What is YOUR specific voice?

2. How can you use the sound of your voice to impact this world for the kingdom of God?

The Break-Up

untitled

“My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me.”  (Galatians 2:20 NLT)

Dear Me,

I’ve known you for as long as I can remember. I once heard there’s “a friend who sticks closer than a brother,” and, yes, that’s us, though I doubt it’s what the proverb was talking about. I’ve been close to a lot of people, but you and me? We have quite an attachment.

Looking back, it’s fair to say I’ve treated you pretty well. As a matter of fact, more times than I can count, I’ve put you ahead of anything and everything else. Agreed?

As we were growing up, I tried to make sure you were always at the front of the line. I saw to it that you got the biggest cookie on the plate, the best parking spot, the comfiest chair in any room we entered.

In school, I noticed the little things you liked, and I went after them. You always loved attention, so I did everything in my power to see that you got it. You still like the spotlight, so I’ve maneuvered to keep you in its glare. Now that we have the Internet, I have more tools. I post only the pictures that show you at your very best. Anybody would think you’re living the dream. Have you seen the comments people write about you? When you have struggled or had a hard time, I’ve done my best to keep that our little secret. I’ve tried to make you happy.

Sure, it was a little easier to keep you happy when you were a cute little tyke. A simple temper tantrum got the job done. Then, as we grew older, I had to be a little more discreet. You wanted to keep winning and getting your way—all the while looking humble and unassuming. That gets tricky! Not to mention tiring.

As a matter of fact, you never seem to care about dull stuff like bills and consequences and what happens tomorrow. I’ve said more than a few harsh words on your behalf to certain people, and you never warned me about the mess. You never told me I couldn’t unsay what I’ve said.

I love you, Me. But I can’t keep living for you. You always insisted that if I’d just keep you happy, then I’d be happy—as simple as that. But you know what? It’s not as simple as that. It never has been.

Me, I’ve let you be in control and sit in the driver’s seat, but it’s clear you can’t be trusted. You keep insisting you know the way we should go, but it always seems to be a dead end. I’ve looked into some other options, and I have decided to begin a journey down a different path. It’s narrow and difficult and not many choose it, but it leads to real and abundant life. However, and there is no easy way to say this, I can’t take this path if I bring you along.

So, Me, this is the end of you.

Sincerely,
Me

New Year Declaration

img_2254God is greater than every circumstance and every condition we will ever face. God is greater than out deepest fear, our lowest insecurity, and our highest accomplishment! God is greater than our finite wisdom, finite knowledge, and finite experience. He is exalted far above every man, every woman, every relationship, every earthly authority and every heavenly being. He is exalted above the kingdom of darkness and His power far exceeds the greatest strength of our adversary. I pray God be exalted in our very being this year; that our souls cry out for the exaltation of God. I pray God be exalted in our marriages, in our children, in our homes, in our ministries, in our giftings, in our various churches, in the Body of Christ, in our governments, and in the entire earth today. I pray that as the earth has transitioned to a new space in eternity, called the New Year, that a great cry of God’s exaltation ring loud and clear in unison with heaven. I pray God be exalted in every memory of the last year and in every expectation of the new year. May God be exalted above every earthly resolution and every earthly hope.  May selfish desires be nonexistent and Godly hope be ALL existent! My soul cries out that God be exalted!!!  As it is in heaven, so let it be on earth. May we all join with heaven and shout in unison that God is exalted! Our God is GREATER. In Jesus Name!!! Amen.
