Declaring into the Year!!!

Lord, You are ALREADY ahead of us! You have already gone before us and You are ALREADY far into this year. You have already declared how the year is going to go, so we partner with Your Word and with Your declaration over 2019 and the years to come!

We declare not only that this is the day that the Lord has made and we rejoice in it, but this is the year that the Lord has made and we commit to rejoice in it. We are rooted and grounded in the love of God and the eyes of our understanding are opened to truly see Him. We have a sound mind, we are stable in our emotions, and we abide in Him. Every area in us that is not surrendered to the Lord, submits and surrenders to Him, NOW, so that we hear His voice clearly and we are continually filled with His plans, His intentions, and His promises for our lives. We see the goodness of the Lord and we are surrounded with His favor like a shield. We are surrounded about with an army of angels that protect, guard, and defend us. No harm comes to us or to our families.

Our marriages are rejuvenated, refreshed, whole and bear good fruit. Our husbands seek God continually and stand strong as the spiritual leaders of our homes. We, who are wives, surrender to God and submit to our anointing as helpers, nurturers, and spiritual deliverers of our husband’s dreams, purposes, and Godly plans. We, who are single, experience the depths of God’s love and intimacy while we are in waiting. As singles, desiring marriage, our husbands hearts are knit to our hearts, even NOW, and they hear the voice of God to be drawn to find us…as wives.  As singles, content in singleness, we experience peace that passes all understanding in our relationship solely with HIM!

All of our children are taught of the Lord and GREAT will be their peace. Our families that are broken and lost will be repaired, rescued, and saved. Our broken hearts will be mended and our souls will be filled with joy. We are blessed with trusting relationships and partnerships that help us advance the Kingdom of God! We have spiritual and natural seeds to plant into this year, because He gives seeds to the sower. We will see good ground that we are to spiritually plant and naturally plant into this year, and these seeds will spring up and bear good fruit. We will experience increase spiritually that will manifest naturally. We will walk continually in the plans and intentions of God. We will experience new encounters with God and depths of intimacy with Him that we have never known. His reach in us will expand our reach to others. 2019 is a year that is ALREADY set and ALREADY blessed by God. We expect it, we receive it, we declare it, and we establish it in Jesus Name!

Happy New Year!

Thought for the week

There are going to be times in our lives when we must face closed doors. What do we do? My friend, Bernai, recently shared her struggle of facing one closed door after another closed door and my heart broke for her. But while my heart was breaking, she told me that when we face a closed door, we have 2 options: we either get a key to unlock the door or we just go through another door. I don’t know what closed door you are currently facing, but I do know that God promised to open doors that no one can shut; He promised to make a way where there is no way; He promised to provide ALL our needs; He promised to keep us through every storm. He does NOT lie!!! He has given us keys in His promises and His promises are sure nuff proven!!! Will you be encouraged to trust Him?

“God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?” (Numbers‬ ‭23‬:‭19‬ NLT)

I’m TIRED of waiting!!!!

“The Lord is good to those who wait hopefully and expectantly for Him, to those who seek Him on the authority of His word”. (Lamentations 3:25-AMP)

Why do I have to wait the longest for that thing I desire the most? Why does it seem like God has turned a deaf ear to my repeated prayers? Why is everyone around me blessed with the very thing that I have been waiting for?

The hardest thing to do is wait. While staring our hopes and longings in the face, we wonder how, when, and if God will ever allow them to come to pass. We know and believe what God says, but still….we wait!

One of the happiest days of my life was the day I got married to my amazing husband. I was so excited to be married and couldn’t wait to start a family ad spend the rest of my life with him. God had blessed us with such a love and we wanted to be able to share that love with a family of our own. After 2 years if trying to conceive, my hope was shattered when I was diagnosed with infertility and given a 1% chance of ever conceiving a child on my own. We still pressed on to pursue another full year of failed infertility treatments, with the infertility specialist hopelessly proclaiming that the only way I could ever have a child of my own was through a donor or through adoption. I received this devastating news, while I watched my 3 best friends being blessed with not only 1 but 2 children, while…I waited. I had to genuinely celebrate 3 best friends during not only their 1st set of pregnancies, but also their 2nd set, while…I waited. I became the God parent to their children and showered their children with genuine love, while…I waited. During one of my tear-filled nights, I bowed my head and admitted to God that I was simply tired of the wait. Tired of saying the same old prayer day after day with no answer in sight. Tired of hearing myself pray about this same old issue, leading me to wonder if God was as tired of hearing my prayer request as I was of praying them. Quite frankly, I was just plain old Tired of seeing others blessed with what I desired the most. In that moment, God quietly spoke “your strength lies not in how long you wait, but in how you wait”.

It’s truly remarkable how God uses our waiting period to build trust, renew strength, and produce expectancy in HIM. We don’t passively wait for God to do something, instead we wait in expectancy, in anticipation for HIM. We can rest confidently in HIM with full assurance that “God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said it, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? (Number 23:19). With this confidence in His promise and with expectancy in Him, God brought my greatest joy to pass. Won’t He do it? I am the proud mother of a beautiful daughter, produced miraculously by God, while….I waited!

I don’t know what you are currently believing, hoping, trusting God for. But I do know this. God is not a respecter of persons. He did it for me and He WILL do it for you. Your job is not to figure out when he will do it, but to make up in your mind that you will wait in confidence; you will wait in expectancy because “He who promised is faithful to bring it to pass” (Hebrews 10:23)

  1. What is one thing you are waiting on God for?
  2. What are God’s promises concerning it?
  3. What steps can you take today to remember God’s promises and have expectancy in Him while   you wait?
