Declaring into the Year!!!

Lord, You are ALREADY ahead of us! You have already gone before us and You are ALREADY far into this year. You have already declared how the year is going to go, so we partner with Your Word and with Your declaration over 2019 and the years to come!

We declare not only that this is the day that the Lord has made and we rejoice in it, but this is the year that the Lord has made and we commit to rejoice in it. We are rooted and grounded in the love of God and the eyes of our understanding are opened to truly see Him. We have a sound mind, we are stable in our emotions, and we abide in Him. Every area in us that is not surrendered to the Lord, submits and surrenders to Him, NOW, so that we hear His voice clearly and we are continually filled with His plans, His intentions, and His promises for our lives. We see the goodness of the Lord and we are surrounded with His favor like a shield. We are surrounded about with an army of angels that protect, guard, and defend us. No harm comes to us or to our families.

Our marriages are rejuvenated, refreshed, whole and bear good fruit. Our husbands seek God continually and stand strong as the spiritual leaders of our homes. We, who are wives, surrender to God and submit to our anointing as helpers, nurturers, and spiritual deliverers of our husband’s dreams, purposes, and Godly plans. We, who are single, experience the depths of God’s love and intimacy while we are in waiting. As singles, desiring marriage, our husbands hearts are knit to our hearts, even NOW, and they hear the voice of God to be drawn to find us…as wives.  As singles, content in singleness, we experience peace that passes all understanding in our relationship solely with HIM!

All of our children are taught of the Lord and GREAT will be their peace. Our families that are broken and lost will be repaired, rescued, and saved. Our broken hearts will be mended and our souls will be filled with joy. We are blessed with trusting relationships and partnerships that help us advance the Kingdom of God! We have spiritual and natural seeds to plant into this year, because He gives seeds to the sower. We will see good ground that we are to spiritually plant and naturally plant into this year, and these seeds will spring up and bear good fruit. We will experience increase spiritually that will manifest naturally. We will walk continually in the plans and intentions of God. We will experience new encounters with God and depths of intimacy with Him that we have never known. His reach in us will expand our reach to others. 2019 is a year that is ALREADY set and ALREADY blessed by God. We expect it, we receive it, we declare it, and we establish it in Jesus Name!

Happy New Year!

Unwrap it!

E543808E-4FB8-49A7-A468-FCAB57207FBE

Some of us have it to give and some of us are in need and can’t give. Some of us are surrounded by family and loved ones and some of us are lonely, with family and loved ones living in other spaces or we have loved ones that are no longer living. Some of our families are unified, celebrating together and some of our families are broken right now, celebrating separately. Some of us are surrounded by happy smiling children, excitedly expecting today and some of us are surrounded by emptiness and wish we could be filled enough to hear the squeals of a child’s excitement. Whatever state you are in, unwrap it!!! Unwrap His presence that has been given to multiply your joy, exceed your abundance, overcome your lack, supply your need, increase your gratitude, overtake your loneliness, overwhelm your brokenness, relieve your pain, bear your grief, fill your emptiness, overflow your peace, and explode His love. This gift He has given levels all of our grounds…levels all of our states…levels all our spaces. This gift levels ALL of us. Whatever state you are in, this is the one gift we ALL need in common. Unwrap It! Unwrap Him! Unwrap Presence….The Greatest Gift! May you all be filled with the Presence of Jesus Christ today that truly makes this a Merry Christmas!

Thought for the week

Ecclesiastes 3:1 says “There is a time for EVERYTHING, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”

Since the beginning of creation, God has determined there would be times and seasons. Just as our natural selves can recognize a season change from summer to autumn, so our spiritual selves must be able to recognize and  understand the change of seasons and times in the spiritual  realm. It is God’s heart desire that we recognize our spiritual seasons and times, so that we can be in time with Him, be in sync with Him, and move in rhythm and in pace with Him. Our degree of frustration with the station of life that we are currently in is decreased when we have an understanding of our time…His time!

Is it your time to build, is it your time to tear down, is it your time to grow in dependence on God, is it your time to absorb, is it your time to be released, is it your time to hide in His presence, is it your time to address your inner trauma, is it your time to put in order what is out of order, is it your time of unremarkable blessing, is your time to let go of what is familiar, is it your time to embrace the new that’s next? Ask God to reveal the specific time that you are currently in. Recognizing your time will help you move through this season with peace, focus, strength, faith, strategy, and determination. What time are you in? May your inner barometer sense your time!!!

A few months ago, my spiritual mother (Victoria Bates) shared an instruction the Lord gave her for this season in her life. It was just one word, with one syllable, that holds so much weight and power….”GO”! As I focus my mind, this one instruction is being echoed in my spirit and I can’t help but be ignited! Just GO! Go forward, not back. Just GO! Don’t stay stuck in the same place, doing the same thing. Just GO! Uproot the old roots and experience His freshness and newness. Just GO! Get up from stagnation, Get up from being unproductive, Get up from stunted growth, Get up from I would have, could have, should have, if only I had. Just GO! Towards the vision He gave you. Just GO! Towards your passion and calling. Just GO! Towards what you always hoped. Just GO! Towards what you dreamed. Just GO! Say yes, not NO and Just GO! Just GO! JUST GO!

“I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way…I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back.” (‭Philippians‬ ‭3‬:‭12-14‬ MSG)

Prophetically declare that you are in the last leg of this particular season that you’re in. What does a coach tell the last runner in a relay race?

“Keep the momentum, pick up speed, don’t drop that baton, keep your eyes focused on the finish line, and run with endurance until you get to that finish line”! What is your finish line? Whatever your finish line is, pause…open your eyes and see it…really see it! Your finish line is right in front of you. So, don’t give in to tiredness, push past it! When a runner gets tired in a race, what does the coach tell them? Push past your tiredness. You see that finish line. Be determined to run with all the resilience and endurance that God has given you until you break through that finish line.

This is the one of the greatest races of your life. See yourself crossing that finish line, winning that medal and see the people God has been assigned to you, including me, cheering you on!!!  #livingempowered #runyourrace #youalreadywin

“The race is not given to the swift, nor is the battle given to the strong, but it’s given to the one who can endure to the end”. (Ecclesiastes 9:11)

On our empowerment call a few weeks ago, we learned that faith is an action word, not just this “thing” we have. It does not just stand still, listless, and inactive. Faith requires active motion. It requires your “GO”, as Evangelist Victoria Bates taught. Since that empowerment call, I’ve had to exercise great faith and “GO” into areas that I considered unfamiliar and impossible. My faith was powerful because I didn’t stop to second guess the impossibility, but I actively moved with God..I actively followed His “GO”. What a liberating feeling to witness faith having powerful action that moves impossibilities!!! What are you personally believing God for? What steps will you need to take to move towards it? What action will you take to match your faith? How about you put your feet to your faith…Will you “act-ivate” your faith and just GO!

“What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone?” (James 2:14 NLT)

There are going to be times in our lives when we must face closed doors. What do we do? My friend, Bernai, recently shared her struggle of facing one closed door after another closed door and my heart broke for her. But while my heart was breaking, she told me that when we face a closed door, we have 2 options: we either get a key to unlock the door or we just go through another door. I don’t know what closed door you are currently facing, but I do know that God promised to open doors that no one can shut; He promised to make a way where there is no way; He promised to provide ALL our needs; He promised to keep us through every storm. He does NOT lie!!! He has given us keys in His promises and His promises are sure nuff proven!!! Will you be encouraged to trust Him?

“God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?” (Numbers‬ ‭23‬:‭19‬ NLT)

Command Faith NOT Fear

img_1955

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified or afraid because of them; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)

The Bible is very clear about God commanding us not to fear. God doesn’t say “try not to fear”, but He emphatically commands us NOT to fear. Why? God, in His loving wisdom, fore-knows that there will be conditions, circumstances, and challenges that we WILL face that will cause us to tremble and fear. In Isaiah 41:10, God says: “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” God gives us both a command and this PROMISE before we even face our difficult circumstances that will cause us to fear. He assures us that He is eternally with us, to provide His strength and His help. If the God of all creation, rich in power, grande in strength, splendid in grace is with us, what are we afraid of?

The recent presidential election in the United States has caused great fear from those who do not have a relationship with God AND from those who do have a relationship with Him. Words have been spoken, such as “I am afraid for my children”, “I am afraid that we are re-living the 1960s”, “I am afraid of this new president” “I am afraid we’re not safe”, “I am afraid our freedoms will be taken away”, “I am afraid for this nation”. We have declared defeat and accepted the enemy’s lie greater than the truth of God’s assured promise to us. We have projected fear, accepting that which is contrary to the promise God has given to all those that have a relationship with Him.

Know that fear is contrary to God’s command of faith! God promised us safety, liberty, and victory regardless of who sits in the office of president; regardless of what challenges we face; regardless of who stands to block us. Our faith lies in a God who assures us victory, not in a circumstance that encourages us to fear! Fear activates the enemy, while faith activates God. It is faith that God responds to, while fear is what the enemy responds to. Whose response do we really want?

In these challenging times, we must be emboldened to project faith not fear, to activate a response from God to our current circumstance. “For without faith it is impossible to walk with God and please Him, for whoever comes near to God must necessarily believe that God exists and that He rewards those who earnestly and diligently seek Him. (‭HEBREWS‬ ‭11‬:‭6‬ AMP). We have whatever we say! Therefore, we must speak faith, “God is greater than any circumstance. God is stronger than any obstacle we are facing.  God is our strong tower. The righteous run to Him and we are safe! Our children are covered and protected by God! In God, we are eternally free and nothing can ever change this truth!”

I have heard that “the ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy”. (Martin Luther King, Jr.) Will faith in God or fear of our current circumstance stand now in us? This is the perfect time to command our faith in God to stand!

Reflection:

1. What are you afraid of?
2. Have you shared your fears with God?
3. What is God’s response to your fears?

Expanding My Influence

image

“Enlarge your house. You are going to need a bigger place. Don’t underestimate the amount of room you will need. So BUILD, BUILD, BUILD! You will increase in EVERY direction to fill the world”. (Isaiah 54:2- VOICE)

Before we entered into this new year, I promised myself that I would BE different and THINK different, so that I could DO different. I told my friends, Dorian and Jessica, that I was not going to use the same old wineskins to make new wine; meaning how could I really expect God to move me into something new, doing the same ole’ thing, thinking the same ole’ way, and saying the same ole’ things?  I realized I could not get 2016 results following 2015 rituals. I had to THINK something different to gain a different result!

As I sat there pondering how I could think differently, one word came to mind….EXPAND! Expand means to increase in reach, extent, scope of, or capacity; to spread, to open out, to unfold. We are all being called to EXPAND.

As children of the King, God desires to expand the way we think to increase our circle of influence! He wants us to reach forth and extend to a greater capacity like never before, so that His kingdom is advanced in this earth. Being expanded by God forces us to step outside of our comfort zones (outside of our norm),  and allows us to think above the limitations people have set for us and quite honestly, above the limitations we have set for ourselves. God allows us to see what we are fully capable of and gives us a glimpse of His capacity in us.  Just think…

Wouldn’t it be awesome for God to expand our faith, expand our experience with Him, expand our abilities, expand our influence, and expand our capacity to get the best out of us? Wouldn’t this be awesome? Just THINK!!!! What if I told you we ALREADY have access to everything we need to expand! It’s ALL in our reach!

Reflection:

1. What is in your reach right now? Who or What do you already have access to? Who or what are your current resources?

2. Who are you called to influence?

3. What steps can you take to increase my reach of influence?

He’s got you…Just take that step!

“….you have nothing to be afraid of.  Peter, suddenly bold, said “Master, if it’s really you, call me to come to you on the water”. Jesus said, “Indeed, come forward!”  (Matthew 14: 27-29, MSG)

I want to step out…but where I am is sooooo comfortable! I want to leave…but I’ve been here so long! I want to try that…but I’m too old to start all over! I want to believe…but I’m tired of waiting! I want to trust God…but I’m afraid He just won’t do it!

Throughout history, God has always prodded His people with questions to help us figure out where we are in Him and what we are doing for Him. An example of this type of question is asked in Genesis 3:9. The voice of God asked Adam a very simple question: “Where are you?” This question was not for God’s benefit, as He already knew the answer before he whispered the question. God designed the question to help Adam survey his life and come to grips with where he was and what he was doing. As I sit and survey my life, I realize that there are still so many assignments that God is calling me to do for His kingdom. What is stopping me from just reaching out and taking that next step? I have to be honest and admit that I’m afraid…afraid of the unknown, afraid of failing, afraid of taking a wrong turn, afraid it won’t work. But God says, “you have nothing to be afraid of. I have already gone before you and prepared the way. Just come! Move forward! All you have to do is…take that step!”

Suddenly, I realize the only way to overcome my fear and step in faith is to step THROUGH what I fear the most. As God shows me what I am afraid of, he also shows me that He is right there with me. Wow! God is already right there with me. SOVEREIGN God is right there with me! How can I not take that step?

I don’t know what step you need to take next. For some of you, the next step is to finish your degree, obtain a new degree, advance to a new position in your career, or transition to a totally new job. For others, it may be to open that business, write that book, or purchase that house. Maybe your next step is to start that ministry, join that ministry, move on in ministry, or join that church. I don’t know what your next step is, but I do know this: There is ALWAYS a next step in God. He will never be finished taking you to that next place in Him. After all, He’s got you! Why don’t you just take that step?
Reflection:

1. What “next step” do you have to take to move forward in faith and in your purpose?

2. What is keeping you from taking that step of faith ?

3. Are you willing to surrender that thing to God right now and move forward?
